Wax is an effective part of a product’s packaging – from the aesthetic element to the security of a wax seal. Wax has always been considered a premium aspect of packaging due to the connection between luxury products and wax embellishments; from Maker’s Mark to Screaming Eagle Wine – a wax seal embodies luxury. Don’t forget to check out our previous blog to find out if Bottle Sealing Wax can work for your brand!

Achieving the perfect wax seal for your bottle is not difficult, but does require some precision. Here are some of our top tips to help you achieve the perfect wax seal for your bottles with minimum fuss!

Easy does it

We know that the wax dipping process is exciting, and you may want to place all of your wax blocks or pellets into your wax bath at once so you can melt it quicker. However, we recommend quite the opposite! By adding your pellets or blocks slowly into the wax bath and stirring regularly it can help speed the process along, as it helps the wax to melt quicker. It also prevents the clumping of the wax, providing you with smooth melted wax, perfect for dipping!

Heating it up

When heating up your wax bath to melt our pellets or block products, ensure that the heat is at exactly 65°C. By melting the wax at this specific temperature you can ensure that all of your wax pellets or blocks melt smoothly, meaning that the finish on your bottle will be smooth and sleek – not to mention that it’ll look flawless.
