With the Spirits Packaging Summit fast approaching, we were excited to announce recently that Signet will once again be at the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh on Wednesday 14th November in order to take part in this excellent event.

However, we understand that these events can be a whirlwind of activity, with tons of things to see and do, and endless people to talk to. That’s why, when visiting an exhibition like this for your brand, it’s important to come prepared in order to make sure that you get the most out of it. As seasoned attendees of the Spirits Packaging Summit, as well as a host of other exhibitions and shows over the years, we wanted to share three tips that can ensure everyone gets the most out of the event.

Think about your needs

When you come to a show of this scale, it can be easy to get distracted by all of the inevitably exciting things that are on offer. In order to make sure your needs are met, think about projects you’re working on or pain points you’re currently experiencing ahead of time. Having these specific details to hand when you talk to people means that different brands or product specialists can help to advise you on specific solutions to your issue, or can offer alternative ideas that may work better.

Even if you don’t think you need help with any specific issues at this time, having a couple of upcoming projects in mind may mean that something catches your eye at the show that could help to propel your product or brand ahead of the competition.

Photos are your friend

As with bringing details of your projects with you, bringing along some images of your bottle, packaging or artwork can really help. Not only will it help you spot things at the show that could be a great fit, but it will also mean that exhibitors can offer examples of products or discuss details based on what they can see – rather than you having to describe things. It may also mean that someone surprises you, and offers a previously unheard of idea that sparks your creativity. That’s all part of the fun when attending shows!

Know your budget

When you’re visiting an exhibition like the Spirits Packaging Summit, there is an endless array of exciting things to see. That’s why it’s important that you come with a budget in mind, particularly if you’re looking to make purchases or enquire about specific partnerships. Costs can change between products and are also often based on quantity, which can mean that overall costs can vary drastically. It’s important to always have your budget in the back of your mind so that you can assess which products will fit into your budget, as well as which products will help to give your brand the best possible result.
